We are an active church! As well as our weekly services on Sundays we have a prayer meeting on Wednesday evenings on zoom. For many years we have held a breakfast each month (currently paused for the moment) where we’ve served a full English breakfast plus cereals, toast and fruit juice for anyone in our community for a suggested donation of £3 and it has always been well attended.

We have been a drop off point for donations sent to Ukraine and each Sunday at our services people bring food and other donations for the Billericay Food Bank. From time to time we have special outreach events like Tea At the Ritz style afternoon tea and musical concerts with professional performers.

We have an annual carols by candlelight service at which we collect toys and tins to be sent to local charities and we also play a major role in the Remembrance Day Service at The Village Hall. A bi-monthly lunch for retired Baptist ministers takes place in our hall and a weekly keep fit group also meets there.

Charities we support

BMS World Mission

BMS World Mission is a Christian mission organisation that has long standing relationships with UK Baptist churches, working in around thirty countries in four continents.

At any one time, BMS supports up to 400 personnel – long, medium, and short-term workers and volunteers, as well as supporting national partner workers, providing funding, training and expertise in health, education, agriculture and justice.

Through the support of UK Christians and churches who share their vision for a world made better through Christs grace, workers strive every day to make Jesus known and share the full life He brings.

CoCo’s Foundation

Giving young people a hand up not a handout …

As a registered UK charity, UK teenagers are inspired to support and help orphaned communities within the poorest areas in South Africa and Uganda. Our aim is to deliver each child’s basic needs - food, water, shelter, and professional emotional support.

The Foundation works with international companies, UK schools, community groups and many individual volunteers to help change children’s lives, both here in the UK and in Africa.

We are funded entirely by donations. The Foundation does not take any administrative costs and every penny donated goes to one of our core projects.

Toilet Twinning

1.7 billion people worldwide don’t have anywhere safe to go to the toilet.

Without proper toilets, people get trapped in a vicious cycle of sickness and poverty, but toilets, sanitation and hygiene training are a life-saving combination.

Toilet Twinning is part of the charity Tearfund. By sponsoring the building of toilets in communities, using materials readily available locally, millions of people’s lives have been changed for the better.
